Opera Lafayette is seeking a Patron Services Associate (PSA). The PSA will be the primary point-of-contact for patrons for Opera Lafayette's dual-city productions. The PSA will have primary responsibility for the administration of Patron Manager, OL's customer relations management tool. He/She will manage the box office, including taking sales calls, printing and mailing tickets, and generating reports. He/She will organize front of house needs for each performance and become a recognizable resource for our audience members. The PSA will play an essential role in assisting the Executive Director (ED) in all marketing activities, from preparing direct mailings to analyzing campaign results. The PSA, working with the ED, will be responsible for the messaging to current and prospective audiences through social media and email campaigns. The PSA will also be responsible for the continual updating of the OL website. The PSA will serve donors through contribution recognition and support of special events. The PSA will identify patrons who would enjoy housing guest artists, and will work with the artistic and production team to confirm housing visiting artists.
The ideal candidate will be certified in Patron Manager. He/She is comfortable engaging with people via email, phone, and in-person, and is able to successfully interact with varied personality types. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Excellent writing and proof-reading skills a plus. A passion for the performing arts is preferred, interest in opera, early music, and/or French history is also valuable. Ability to speak, write, and/or read French would be a bonus.
