This full-time position offers the opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious individual to gain exposure to all aspects of the Artist Management field, working closely with and providing support to a seasoned team of Artist Managers representing an elite roster of classical singers, actors, directors, conductors, and a variety of touring attractions. This role will provide an opportunity to interact regularly with clients, producers/presenters, and reports directly to the Managing Director of the firm. In this small office, all staff members participate in every task, from the strategic to the routine.


·       Extensive interpersonal interaction via telephone and e-mail, applying keen critical thinking skills to field questions and navigate relationships with clients and performing arts organizations in the U.S. and abroad in a professional, client services-oriented manner consistent with the company’s brand reputation.

·       Drafting, reviewing, editing, and/or negotiating a high volume of performance contracts.

·       Managing the contract lifecycle through distribution, tracking, and reporting.

·       Creating, editing, and/or proofreading artist marketing materials including biographies and resumes, with an eye for quality branding of the artist consistent with the company’s style and the artist’s professional identity. This includes developing and advising on brand adherence through all elements of the artist’s publicity tools.

·       Collaborating on and preparing suggestions for presenters/producers that thoughtfully match the needs of the producer with qualified and available talent from our roster.

·       Managing audition scheduling by coordinating communication between clients, producers, and internal administrative staff.

·       Coordinate annual website update and social media presence with support from internal administrative staff.

·       Design and/or prepare professional documents including memos and presentations including charts, tables, graphs, etc.

·       Support the company’s executive leadership in schedule management and office coordination.

·       Work independently and collaboratively on a mix of special and routine projects in a project management role at the direction of the Management team. These can include planning and coordination of presentations, dissemination of information, event organization, conference preparation, and logistics for clients or firm activities.

·       Limited general office support including but not limited to answering calls, taking messages, electronic filing documents, organizing office inventory, and database management.

Required Qualifications:

·       Refined interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, diplomacy, tact, and poise.

·       A collaborative attitude with the ability to interact collegially with individuals at all levels of the organization.

·       Highly-developed business writing technique, with a keen editorial eye, and a high-level of mastery of grammar and spelling.

·       Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage rapidly shifting priorities on multiple projects simultaneously.

·       Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to efficiently juggle a multitude of competing tasks, demands, and priorities.

·       A strong interest and knowledge in the performing arts, including classical music, opera, musical theatre, and concert performances.

·       The ability to remain calm, objective, professional, and unemotional in high stress situations.

·       Intermediate proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite.

·       Basic proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.

·       Basic proficiency in online file sharing applications including Dropbox and Google Drive.

·       Must not be a currently working professional performer or aspiring performer.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Basic to intermediate proficiency in HTML.

·       Basic to intermediate proficiency in WordPress website management.

·       Knowledge of CSS usage in WordPress.

·       Foreign language proficiency, especially German, Italian, and Spanish.

·       Knowledge of international culture standards and practices in professional settings.

·       Knowledge of standard opera, musical theatre, and/or oratorio repertoire.

·       Social media skills.

·       Video, photo, and/or audio editing experience.


·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably in business, arts administration, or a performing arts discipline)

·       At least 2 years of experience in an arts administration role (preferably in Artist Management)

Position Details:

Full-Time. Salary commensurate with experience.  Periodic evening and weekend hours required as well as possible out-of-town travel.  Medical & Dental/Vision insurance provided, paid vacation, and sick days to all full-employees as well as event tickets, expense account, etc.
