Description: Louis, a trumpeter swan, is born without a voice. His father flies to a music store to steal a trumpet for him, and Louis learns to communicate by playing it. He befriends a young boy, who sends him to Boston to get a job playing for the swan boats in the park. Louis also plays at the Philadelphia Zoo and at a nightclub in New Jersey. He eventually marries a cygnet and returns to his native Montana.
