Overview
Update and overhaul your personal brand to build the best package for your upcoming auditions during this three-day intensive workshop. Over the course of the program, you will create and receive:
  • HEADSHOTS: A 45-minute shoot, including makeup and hair styling. Photos will be delivered as digital proofs.
  • AUDIO RECORDING: One-hour high-quality recording, including pianist.
  • FEEDBACK AUDITION WITH VIDEO RECORDING: 30-minute HD digital video recording of audition material and valuable feedback from a panel of industry professionals.
  • WEBSITE DESIGN: Group sessions with a web designer plus individual consultations on creating/updating your website with your newly created materials.
  • RESUME REVIEW: One-on-one resume and bio review with audition experts and proofreaders.
  • PANEL DISCUSSIONS: Meet with artist managers, professional singers and opera company leaders to learn how to focus your brand and make connections in the field.

Fees
Thanks to generous underwriting by the Howard Gilman Foundation, this professional development package (valued at over $2,000), is available to qualified applicants for the member rate of $250 and non-member rate of $325 (including a one-year membership to OPERA America).

Applications are open and require a recommendation from a staff or faculty member at an OPERA America member organization. View the application questions and a sample letter of recommendation.

All OPERA America facilities are handicapped accessible. The National Opera Center features ground-level entry with elevators to the venue. All spaces are wheelchair accessible, and modular seating can be arranged to accommodate wheelchair users for all programs and performances. Handicapped accessible restrooms are available on all floors.
