Overview
Make this your best audition season yet! Update and overhaul your personal brand to build the best package for your upcoming auditions during this three-day intensive workshop.

Over the course of the program, you will create and receive:
  • HEADSHOTS: A 45-minute photoshoot, including makeup and hair styling. Photos will be delivered as digital proofs.
  • AUDIO RECORDING: One-hour high-quality recording, including pianist.
  • VIDEO RECORDING: A 30-minute HD digital video recording of audition material and valuable feedback from a panel of industry professionals.
  • WEBSITE DESIGN: Group sessions with a web designer, plus 30-minute individual consultations on creating or updating your website with your newly created materials.
  • RESUME REVIEW: One-on-one resume and bio review with audition experts and proofreaders.
  • PANEL DISCUSSIONS: Sessions with artist managers, professional singers and opera company leaders to learn how to focus your brand and receive tips on marketing for artists.

Fees
Thanks to generous underwriting support from the Howard Gilman Foundation, this professional development package (valued at over $2,000) is available to OPERA America members for just $195. The non-member fee is $270, which includes a one-year membership to OPERA America.

Applications open May 4 and require a brief recommendation from a staff or faculty member at an OPERA America member organization. View the application questions and a sample letter of recommendation.

July 18: Awardees notified (24 awardees, plus up to 10 alternates)
July 22: Deposit of $75 due (required to confirm participation)
August 19: Final balance due

All OPERA America facilities are handicapped accessible. The National Opera Center features ground-level entry with elevators to the venue. All spaces are wheelchair accessible, and modular seating can be arranged to accommodate wheelchair users for all programs and performances. Handicapped accessible restrooms are available on all floors.
