OPERA America and the following organizations are pleased to invite your company to participate in Young Friends of Opera! This North American initiative seeks to increase the opportunities for young professionals to see and hear opera. As a part of Young Friends of Opera (YFO), your members will enjoy special ticket offers, and they will have the opportunity to attend networking events in cities across the U.S. and Canada.
To view the various program offerings, click on the link in the yellow box above. Admission/purchase restrictions are different with each participating organization, so please contact the company you are visiting prior to making your ticket purchases. Please remember that all ticket offers and discounts are available at the discretion of the participating company.
OPERA America is pleased to invite your company to participate in Young Friends of Opera! By joining, members of your young professional program will gain reciprocal benefits with other participating opera companies. As a part of Young Friends of Opera, these members will enjoy special ticket offers, and they’ll have the opportunity to attend networking events in cities across the U.S. and Canada.
Here’s how it works:
(1) OPERA America will provide a national membership card to participating companies. (Cards are available by e-mail as a .jpg or .pdf.) Each participating company should reproduce and distribute the card to its program members.
(2) As a participating company, you should provide a link to your young professionals Web site so that OPERA America can add you to the list of participating companies. When making travel plans, young professionals can then log on to OPERA America’s Young Friends of Opera page to find links to special ticket offers and networking events at other YFO companies. On your young professionals’ Web site, please mention that you are a participating company in the Young Friends of Opera program and include OPERA America’s logo.
(3) Participating companies will have the opportunity to provide a description of upcoming activities and photos of recent events to OPERA America for the Young Friends of Opera bi-monthly e-newsletter. This e-newsletter, an exclusive benefit for Young Friends of Opera members, will be sent to participating companies who can then forward it to their young professionals.
Note: All ticket offers at participating companies are strictly subject to the restrictions and availability of that company’s policies and management.
If your company would like to be a part of this innovative program, please contact Director of Marketing and Public Relations Patricia Kiernan Johnson at PKJohnson@operaamerica.org or 212-796-8620, ext. 217.
In addition to participation in this new program, OPERA America invites you to become
a member of the nation’s only service organization promoting the creation, presentation,
and enjoyment of opera. For more information on membership benefits with OPERA America,
