Featuring excerpts from Dog Days, Soldier Songs and Vinkensport, or The Finch Opera performed by sopranos Mary Bonhag and Lauren Worsham, baritones Christopher Burchett and David Adam Moore and pianist Jennifer Hoppe.
November 16, 2011, 7:00 p.m.: An Evening with Conrad Cummings
Featuring excerpts from The Golden Gate performed by soprano Katrina Thurman, mezzo-soprano Hai-Ting Chinn, tenor Keith Jameson, baritone David Adam Moore, bass-baritone Justin Hopkins, pianist Charity Wicks, Elliot Kahn and conductor Steven Osgood.
January 25, 2012, 7:00 p.m.: An Evening with Mark Campbell
Featuring excerpts from Silent Night, Rappahannock County, Lucrezia, The Inspector, Volpone and Songs from an Unmade Bed performed by soprano Jennifer Aylmer, mezzo-soprano Wallis Giunta, tenor Matthew Tuell, baritone Troy Cook and pianist Timothy Long.
March 21, 2012, 7:00 p.m.: An Evening with Jake Heggie
Featuring excerpts from Heggie’s operas and song cycles performed by sopranos Devon Guthrie and Talise Trevigne, mezzo-soprano Elise Quagliata, tenor Jonathan Blalock, baritones Philip Cutlip and Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek, and the composer at the piano.
April 11, 2012, 7:00 p.m.: An Evening with Wang Jie
Featuring selections from the vocal and instrumental works of composer Wang Jie performed by soprano Mary MacKenzie, mezzo-soprano Krysty Swann, violinist Jennifer Choi and the composer at the piano. The program includes:
  • Serenade in Isolation
  • A Prayer — Lord? Please Don't Let Me Die in a Funny Way (libretto by Paul Simms)
  • From the Other Sky, Scene II — Human World (libretto by Wang Jie)

From Airport:
The easiest way to reach the OPERA America offices is to get a cab at the airport. Cost is $40-45
(not including tip).
  • JFK - Take the AirTrain ($5 - approx. 15 minutes) to the Jamaica Street Station and transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Take the LIRR to Penn Station ($12 - approx. 35 minutes). See Penn Station directions below.
  • LaGuardia - Take the M60 Bus to the Hoyt Ave/31st Street. Get on the or Train and take that to 42nd/Times Square Station. Follow the Times Square Station directions below.
  • Newark - Take the New Jersey Transit train to Penn Station ($15 - approx. 45 min). See the Penn Station Directions below.

From Penn Station/Madison Square Garden:
Leave the station through the 7th Avenue/33rd Street exit and walk south for four blocks. The building is on
the right hand side.

From Grand Central Station:
Take the Train to the 42nd/Times Square station and transfer to the Train.
Take the Train to the 28th Street stop and walk north on 7th Avenue.
The building is on the same block as the train stop.

From 42nd Street/Times Square:
Take the Train to the 28th Street stop and walk north on 7th Avenue.
The building is on the same block as the train stop.
