Under the idyllic skies of New Mexico’s high desert, take in one of 2017’s most anticipated new operas, The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs (Mason Bates/Mark Campbell), as well as performances of Handel’s Alcina, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Johann Strauss Jr.’s Die Fledermaus at the famed Santa Fe Opera. The trip will also include private receptions and other cultural and culinary highlights in the greater Santa Fe area.

Embark on a 10-day, operatic tour of Spain’s Mediterranean capitals of culture. The trip begins in Barcelona, where a Catalan flare infuses the food and arts, including a performance of Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Valencia’s futuristic opera house, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, promises another cultural experience and a distinct contrast to the city’s Iberian architecture and history. Finally, Madrid offers a return to the classics at the renowned Teatro Real, with Donizetti’s La Favorite and a new production of Bizet’s Spanish masterpiece, Carmen, by the French director Mariame Clément.
