Description: The opera is a comic portrait of an eccentric southern family set in the 1940s. Through her lies and insinuations, Stella-Rondo turns Mama, Pappa-Daddy, and Uncle Rondo against Sister. In exasperation, Sister gathers her possessions and moves into the post office, where she can live in peace.
