Description: Antony and Cleopatra are madly in love and ignoring the business of the state. Antony is called back to Rome, promising Cleopatra he will return. When he is forced to marry Caesar's sister, Cleopatra plots to get him back. Antony returns to Cleo and is charged with being a traitor to Rome. Caesar challenges Antony to meet in battle. Antony and Cleopatra meet Caesar at sea; they are defeated and flee back to Egypt. Caesar goes to Egypt to capture Antony. Antony warns Cleopatra not to trust Casear as he will try to trick her into surrendering just before he commits suicide. Antony had warned her that Caesar will take her back to Rome in chains. She heeds his warning… and she commits suicide by viper.
