Managerial Assistant

Position: Managerial Assistant
Reports to: President
Location: New York City (and surrounding areas) preferred, but not required
Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

 

Overall Purpose

To coordinate the administrative needs of L2 Artists and their roster of international singers, conductors, and stage directors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration - Assess and edit all contracts and other documents pertaining to each engagement, and process them in conjunction with the President
  • Recording and reviewing all financial information for each engagement accurately
  • Updating and maintaining accurate information in the L2 database
  • Coordinating logistical arrangements for Artists including travel and housing, preparing itineraries, and arranging interviews and meetings
  • Assist President in arranging and attending artist auditions
  • Coordinating with the President in his daily work, acting as deputy when necessary

Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversee L2 marketing materials including, but not limited to:
    • The company website
    • Social media
    • Press Releases
  • Working with PR and/or record companies to schedule interviews and appearances
  • Producing and updating press materials for each Artist, as required
  • Occasional weekend or evening work

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Be a self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, and the ability to engage with various personalities
  • Experience with multiple computer software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, web-based Applications, and Social Media Platforms; knowledge of WordPress or HTML a plus
  • An ideal candidate would also have:
    • A broad knowledge of western classical music, including living composers
    • Experience with multiple foreign languages
    • International travel experience
