  • PURPOSE:To attract, retain and engage new audiences in targeted segments for the San Francisco Opera across all product lines.This position will execute tactics to generate high levels of audience satisfaction, expand audience engagement and enrichment activities, and grow revenue in key areas
  • Lead new audience efforts and engagement efforts in all marketing tactics to create engaging, high leverage campaigns and plans that are efficient, cost effective and targeted to grow audience and earned revenue across all product offerings.
  • In coordination with marketing colleagues and the Director of Marketing, set annual sales and patron retention goals for new audience segments and monitor progress against goals.
  • Actively engage in strategic and tactical planning processes with marketing colleagues and Director of Marketing as well as the Bravo! Board of Directors to design, create and execute membership plans for the Bravo! segment, creating engaging, efficient, cost effective and targeted campaigns to grow participation in this segment, which may include direct mail and digital campaigns including meeting all deadlines for brochure production, list and lead management, etc., to meet identified organization metrics / goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Bravo! Board of Directors, facilitate Bravo! Board meetings, and support Bravo Events.
  • Work with the Events Team and the Bravo! Board to manage and support the annual Bravo! Gala as well as ticket sales and attendance goals.
  • Create and cultivate partnerships with local organizations and affinity groups that cater to target demographics; manage special promotional activities and programs that drive patron retention goals within these segments including the creation of special events designed to grow new audiences both on and offsite the War Memorial Opera House.
  • Work with marketing colleagues for production and creation of all print and electronic materials.
  • Works with Marketing Associate, New Audiences and Special Events to promote Bravo! ticket offers and events
  • Track metrics and evaluate audience development efforts against key performance indicators and report analytics in this area both internally and externally with oversight from the Director of Marketing.
  • Consistently monitor and track the portion of the Marketing budget expenses related to Bravo! and new audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Box Office and Front of House staff on related customer service initiatives and events.
  • Attend and represent the Marketing Department at performances, concerts, and events with an eye to increased patron engagement and retention
  • Define engagement experiences off-stage
  • Create and test loyalty models for younger patrons
  • Develop student ticket programs and other targeted segments as identified.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  •  Minimum of five years of general marketing experience, arts marketing experience preferred. Knowledge of opera a plus.
