Stage Management Intern/Production Assistant

The Dallas Opera is seeking a Stage Management Intern/Production Assistant for our upcoming 2019-2020 Season. Employment Dates are September 2, 2019 through November 3, 2019 and February 24, 2020 through May 10, 2020. The ideal candidate will have a BA or BFA with emphasis in Opera, Theatre or Music and will have some professional Stage Management experience. The Production Assistant will provide support in the day to day operations of the Stage Management Department, and will assist in rehearsals and performances of The Magic Flute, The Golden Cockerel, The Gala Concert, Don Carlo, The Double Bill: Pulcinell and La Voix Humaine, and The Barber of Seville The position requires a highly motivated individual who can work long hours in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Candidates must be proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Adobe software and possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills and be able to read music. Compensation is based on the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between The Dallas Opera and AGMA. The 2019-2020 AGMA weekly rate is $794.55 plus $130.00 per diem for housing and meals. Round trip travel to and from Dallas, Tx will be provided. This is an AGMA contract, but you do not need to be a member of AGMA to apply. Please email cover letter, resume and references to: Drew H.
