SOUTH SHORE CONSERVATORY (SSC) in Hingham, MA invites qualified candidates to submit applications to become its next President. The President of SSC will serve as the top steward of a highly regarded arts education institution that has played a significant role in the cultural life of the South Shore community in close proximity to Boston for the past half century. As a dedicated strategist with a passion for arts and education, SSC’s President will elevate already impactful programming and identify new ways for SSC to expand its profile, celebrate the arts with genuine spirit and heart, and institute a necessary level of organizational rigor that matches SSC’s growth. The President will inspire SSC’s Board to serve with new purposeful focus, motivate and mentor faculty and staff with clarity and grace, and be a willing ambassador for SSC in the community and throughout the Boston metro area. SSC’s President will see opportunity in the face of challenge and approach the long-term success of SSC with intention, authenticity, and integrity. South Shore Conservatory (SSC) is the largest community music school in New England and one of the top regional community music schools in the United States. As an anchor cultural player of the vibrant and diverse group of cities and towns between Boston and Cape Cod, SSC is highly regarded for its private and group lessons for all ages, innovative community-based programming, Creative Arts Therapies, and engaging performances. SSC currently operates out of two campuses in Hingham and Duxbury, MA, and maintains partnerships with community and service-based organizations across the region.
