Synopsis
In 1890, a young writer suffers from "temporary nervous depression" and her doctor/husband prescribes the "rest cure." Forbidden to write, the woman becomes obsessed with the wallpaper in her room, eventually tearing it from the walls in an attempt to free the figure she sees creeping around behind it. A disturbing descent into madness.
