Synopsis

Makena just moved to St. Louis and is struggling to find friends in a new city. She's tired of endless corporate happy hours and just wants to be part of a community where she can be fully herself. Makena decides to try joining a book club and is heartened by the easy flow of discussion, but an ill-timed question prevents Makena from connecting deeper in conversation with her fellow readers. When Makena calls her father for their weekly check-in, she shares her frustration and loneliness. Her father encourages her to remain positive and patient…lifelong friendships don't happen overnight. Makena continues her Saturday visit to her usual coffee shop and the stars align to bring a kindred spirit into her life.
