OPERA America's 2023 Annual Field Report is designed to provide leaders in the field with a comprehensive overview of the financial positions of our members.

Information for this report, based on the 2022 fiscal year, is derived from the annual Professional Opera Survey administered by SMU Data Arts.

In this report, OPERA America’s U.S. Professional Company Members (PCMs) are aggregated into five budget groups.

The report includes an introductory section, "The Field at a Glance," that presents financial and performance activity extrapolated for the full OPERA America membership. In addition, a section titled "2022–2023 Season Spotlight" features insights from OPERA America's 2023 Ticket Sales Survey, comparing ticket sales and performance activity from the most recently completed season to the 2018–2019 season.

OPERA America's FY2023 Financial Report and a summary of the organization's activities in 2023 are also included.
