Wi-Fi
Attendees of World Opera Forum and Opera Conference 2024 have access to free Wi-Fi in the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza.
How to connect:
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on on your device.
- Open the Wi-Fi settings to view the available wireless networks.
- Select "Omni Meeting Network" and click Connect.
- Enter the password "OPERACONWOF2024" when prompted.
How do I access the conference app?
- Download the “Cvent Events” apps in the Apple or the Google Play Store.
- Search for “2024 Opera Conference & World Opera Forum”
- Click the download icon
- Enter your name and email address you used to register for the conference.
- Verify your account with the code sent to your phone and email address.
How do I add a session to my schedule?
Once you've downloaded the app, you can begin building your conference schedule. Simply toggle to the Schedule, tap on "All Sessions," and select any sessions you'd like to attend. Certain sessions have limited capacity, so act now to secure your spot!
If you prefer to build your schedule in a web browser rather than the app, go to the Attendee Hub. To log in, enter your name and the email address you used to register for the conference; a verification code will then be sent to your phone and email address.
Is there a map of the Omni Hotel?
Yes — you can find floor plans for the Omni Hotel on the app and in the Attendee Hub.

- Open the Cvent app on your device.
- Click the menu button on the bottom right corner, indicated by 3 lines.
- Select "Floor Plans" to view forum and conference room locations.

Where is the Welcome Center?
The Welcome Center is on the 2nd floor of Omni Los Angeles. Take the central stairs from the lobby to the 2nd floor and turn right. It is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Where is the Exhibit Hall?
On the 2nd floor of Omni Los Angeles. Take the central stairs from the lobby to the 2nd floor and turn left and right.
What safety measures are being taken at the conference?
Your health and safety are a top priority for OPERA America.
Attendees should engage in social events to the extent of their own comfort in doing so.
Attendees should recognize that they are traveling/participating at their own risk.
We will continue to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the recommendations of our host state, city, and venues regarding COVID-19 safety measures at the time of convening. These policies are subject to change.
- Conference activities taking place in Omni Los Angeles are mask-friendly. If you would like to wear a mask, please feel free to do so. We ask that all guests be respectful of one another's choices.
- Proof of vaccination is not required for admittance to Opera Conference.
- For information on LA Opera's COVID-19 protocols, visit their website here. As of October 2022, masks and vaccination are not required.

Who can I contact regarding accessibility for Opera Conference and the World Opera Forum?
The Omni Los Angeles Hotel is ADA-accessible. If you have questions about accessibility, please email Conference@operaamerica.org.
Ticket Pick Up for Performances
Tickets purchased through OPERA America have different distribution methods. Attendees should check the list below for their specific show ticket information. This information is also listed in the event description in the app and Attendee Hub.
No tickets will be sold through OPERA America's registration portal after May 23. Registrants seeking tickets after that date must buy directly from the presenting companies. Learn more at OperaFest LA.
Transportation for MAGDALENE, presented by Beth Morrison Projects

REDCAT (631 W 2nd Street, Los Angeles, CA, 90012) is about a 10-minute walk (less than half a mile) from the Omni Los Angeles Hotel. Transportation is not provided.
Tickets for Magdalene will be available for pick up at the box office prior to the performance. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow for time to pick up tickets. The OPERA America flag brigade will be guiding the way from the Omni and the Colburn.
World Opera Forum Official Delegates will receive their tickets in a welcome packet.
Transportation for FIRE AND BLUE SKY, presented by LA Opera

For the performances on Saturday, June 1 & June 8, the buses will begin loading at 6:00 p.m. for a 6:15 p.m. departure.

Ticket holders will be checked in as they board the bus by an OPERA America staff member. For any attendees not utilizing the provided transportation, tickets will be available at will call.
Buses will depart for the performance from the first floor of the Omni LA on South Olive Street. After the performance, returning buses will be waiting outside the venue and will depart 10-15 minutes after the curtain.
For the performances on Friday, June 7 & Saturday, June 8, the buses will begin loading at 5:45 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. departure.

Ticket holders were sent a digital ticket directly to their email (please check the email you used to register for the forum and/or conference). For any attendees not utilizing the provided transportation, tickets will be available at will call.
Buses will depart for the performances from the first floor of the Omni LA on South Olive Street. After the performance, returning buses will be waiting outside the venue and will depart 10-15 minutes after the curtain.
For the performances on Saturday, June 1 & Friday, June 7, the buses will begin loading at 5:45 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. departure.

Ticket holders will be checked in as they board the bus by an OPERA America staff holder.
Buses will depart for the performances from the first floor of the Omni LA on South Olive Street. After the performance, returning buses will be waiting outside the venue and will depart 10-15 minutes after the curtain.
For the performance on Sunday, June 2, the buses will begin loading at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. departure.

Transportation for AUTHENTIC FLAMENCO, presented by Teatro Real and FEVER

The Saban Theatre (8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211) is about a 15-minute drive (about 10 miles) from the Omni Los Angeles Hotel. Transportation is not provided.
Is there a dress code for the conference?
There is no dress code for the conference, though attendees often opt for business casual or similar. We encourage conference attendees to wear whatever makes them comfortable. We recommend having an extra layer, as hotel temperatures (and Los Angeles weather) can be unpredictable.
Will there be photography or videography at the conference?
Yes. Photography and audio and video recording will occur throughout the conference. By entering the event premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording, and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by OPERA America.
Is my registration transferable?
Registration may be transferred to another qualified attendee at no charge. After logging into the registration portal with your confirmation number and email address, edit the full contact information for the alternate attendee. This will ensure that the new attendee receives all communications regarding attendance and will be able to check in at the conference.
I can no longer attend the conference. Can I receive a refund for my registration?
Registrations for Opera Conference and the World Opera Forum are refundable at 80% through April 19, 2024; and at 65% through May 27, 2024, with the following exceptions. No refunds on registration will be issued after May 27, 2024.
Non-Member Independent Artists registrations follow the following refund schedule and retain their Individual Membership to OPERA America after cancellation: (a) Conference-only registrations are refundable for $95 through April 14, 2024; and $70 through May 27, 2024. (b) Forum-only registrations are refundable for $75 through April 14, 2024; and $60 through May 27, 2024. (c) Forum and conference combination registrations are refundable for $170 through April 14, 2024; and $130 through May 27, 2024.
Refunds are not available for the Special Event Pass.
Fees for performances are refundable at 100% through May 17, 2024. No refunds on session and performance fees will be issued after that date.
