The Director-Designer Prize Winner Exhibit: Second Salome

Every two years, OPERA America awards the Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Prize to spotlight the work of several promising teams of stage directors and designers and help connect these rising artists with producers. Those teams’ concepts are also displayed at OPERA America’s National Opera Center in rotating exhibitions. Two productions of Salome won in 2022, and the second and final winner from that year’s prize is set to be displayed on the eighth floor of the Opera Center from this December through May. The production team for this Salome comprises Claire Choquette (director), Josafath Reynoso (set designer), Scott Hynes (lighting designer), Hsiao-Wei Chen (costume designer), and Danielle Georgiou (choreographer).
