Beginning with the summer 2022 issue, an Editorial Advisory Committee will assist the team creating each issue of Opera America Magazine. The committee will be a subset of the Communications Council, one of seven new councils that will work alongside OPERA America’s Board of Directors to guide the organization’s priorities. The editorial committee will offer ideas for stories, connections for sources, and additional perspectives on material before it is published. Members will also receive and provide feedback about recent issues of the magazine and be advocates for it in the broader opera community.

The committee was born of a desire to provide a wider array of voices in OPERA America’s flagship publication. This group will help to flag not just the stories but the people making a difference in today’s opera community so that they can be recognized and celebrated.
