Boston Baroque
Since 1973, Boston Baroque has engaged audiences in a modern voice for orchestral, choral, and operatic music of the Baroque and Classical eras. Its period instrument orchestra, professional chorus, and guest artists reach local, national, and global audiences via concerts, tours, CDs, radio, and digital media. In response to COVID-19, Boston Baroque launched Boston Baroque Live, a streaming platform for full-length concerts and operas, documentary short films, and additional video and audio content, in May 2020. Boston Baroque’s Community Engagement Initiatives offer free events in Boston’s diverse neighborhoods. Boston Baroque partners in the EBT Card to Culture Program, through which residents who rely on support from the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) can use their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards to buy $5 tickets to all Boston Baroque concerts. In light of COVID-19, Boston Baroque has expanded this program to virtual subscription options for EBT cardholders.
