Feedback Auditions
Feedback Auditions give singers the opportunity to perform their audition repertoire before a supportive panel of industry professionals.
Artists receive constructive feedback on their performances and repertoire, as well as a high-quality video recording of their audition.
The program is designed to help singers in a range of artistic stages. It offers a safe and supportive space for those on their first audition circuit, contemplating a change of fach or repertoire, or looking to take the next step in their careers.
Feedback Auditions are supported by the Patricia Scimeca Fund for Emerging Singers and, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
Program Details
Give your audition routine a practice round as you take the stage, learn from supportive industry leaders, and leave with a high-definition recording of your finest repertoire.
When you register, you receive:
- A 20-minute audition slot to perform two selections from your repertoire list with a house accompanist. (You may bring your own pianist, if desired.)
- Immediate feedback on your vocal performance, repertoire selection, visual presentation, audition preparation, and resume from a panel of stage directors, conductors, management representatives, and artistic directors.
- High-definition digital video recording of your audition performance and panel feedback.
Auditions take place in the acoustically excellent Marc A. Scorca Hall at OPERA America's National Opera Center in New York City.

Book your Feedback Audition
Auditions take place Friday, September 20, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. There are 13 audition slots available which are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

$50 for members
$125 or $146 for non-members
Non-member registration includes the choice of a one-year Digital Membership (valued at $75) or Signature Membership (valued at $96) to OPERA America. OPERA America members will be prompted to log in to access member rates.
